David Barton is the senior student of Grandmaster Kai-Ying Tung in the U.S., having studied and assisted the Master for over 45 years. Mr. Barton is currently the Director of the Tung school in Santa Barbara and a Licensed Acupuncturist since 1977.

Besides his regular classes he has taught in elementary, middle school, high school, and college levels as well as special situations such as with stroke victims, the blind, wheel-chair bound, and elite athletes.

Now he is concentrating on making T'ai Chi a more widely used therapy for health professionals to recommend to their patients and do themselves for everything from stress management and general health to enhancing balance in the elderly.
