BEGINNING T’AI CHI - LEVELS I & II
15 Lessons plus Form Demonstration Front and Back.
Video is Approx. 2 Hours

Learn a traditional Tai Chi sequence that can be done in 5 minutes anywhere, with no equipment, for relaxation, invigoration, focused concentration, stress management, and enhanced balance.

The video segments are conducted just as a class or private lesson should be, but with progress dictated by the student. Each 10 minute lesson repeated as necessary until it is retained can be a daily workout, providing the Fundamentals of Form and Sequence in a coherent format that helps to establish a consistent exercise routine.

As a VIDEO CORRESPONDENCE COURSE the student has access to an instructor (by phone) when desired, and visual correction and refinement from the instructor through the use of the MAIL-BACK SELF-VIDEOs.

For the VIDEO CORRSPONDENCE COURSE either with or without credit, access to a video CAMCORDER is necessary to be able to demonstrate progress to the instructor. For California Licensed Acupuncturists and other professionals whose licensing requires CONTINUING EDUCATION, it is also a means to document participation in the course for C.E.U. credit.

Up to four student progress assessment self-videos can be returned for correction and refinement within a 12 week period. For CEU credit only one self-video will be required.

For those interested in CEU credit, it is suggested that the student dedicate 30 minutes a day combined viewing time and practice, done for 30 days at home or anywhere giving 15 hours study time for CEU's while developing a daily practice regimen. You can tailor your personal program to fit your own schedule.

The Level I & II courses include:
  • The sequence and form of traditional Yang style Tai Chi Chuan - First Section
  • Individual movements broken down and explained in detail
  • Instruction given in mirror image (Front view) and same direction (Rear view)
  • Contact with an experienced instructor one-on-one via 800 number and return video
  • Handbook of background material and suggested reading list
You will retain:

  • The look and feel of correct practice
  • A routine for daily practice that will continue beyond the duration of this course
  • Contact with a network of teachers and programs that help sustain continued interest
  • Studies have shown consistent Tai Chi practice stimulates the immune system, regulates blood pressure, and helps prevent falls for the elderly.
